Uprooted Sunshine Presents: Shanghai Vibrations
Billed as a “mini-dub festival,” Shanghai’s #1 dub soundsystem has indeed put together a long line-up of Vibronics + Madu Messenger, Steve Barker, Zenmala Jalama, The Uprooted Sunshine Soundsystem (which in itself includes quite a few local DJs), and Komodo, who we just interviewed. If you like Jamaica, having fun, or grimacing due to musical enjoyment you should definitely be there.

The Jamaican thing JUST DOESN’T STOP! Okay, D ‘n B isn’t actually Jamaican, but there’s a connection there. This duo is from Cambridge (UK not Massachusetts, sadly) and are a big deal, for they are the only dudes other than Goldie to put a record out on his label. I’m telling you, I try not to put Shelter shit on here constantly, but they keep programming interesting, different stuff, and bring in names from out of town, so what can I do?
